Please make sure to read it carefully, as details have been changed since last year.

 

Dear Camp Ohr Menachem families,
Our Summer 2026 camp season begins Monday, June 29th! We are looking forward to welcoming all our new and returning campers to Camp Ohr Menachem (COM).
We have been working tirelessly to create a summer program filled with fun, excitement, and the warm COM spirit that you all know and love.
Please familiarize yourselves with the following procedures.

 

Refund Policy

Before June 2, 2026
Cancelling or switching the weeks your child will attend camp: $30 service fee
Cancelling the entire summer: full refund, excluding the $250 deposit

After June 2, 2026
No refunds
will be issued, and camp tuition must be paid in full.
 

Hours

Camp hours are from 9:00 AM–3:30 PM.
Early care will be from 8:00 AM–9:00 AM every day, except on the first day of camp, June 29th.
After care will be from 3:30 PM–5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, except on the fast days of July 2nd and July 23rd.
Please do not bring your child earlier than 8:45 AM (unless registered for early care) in order to ensure proper supervision.

Drop-off and dismissal will take place at each camp’s location. There will be no shuttle buses transporting boys from Beth Chabad to Merton.

Junior Boys & Girls
In addition to swimming days, Junior campers will also enjoy special sprinkler and water play days at local sprinkle parks and the Yitzhak Rabin Wading Pool.

 

Communication

  • Weekly email updates: Parents will receive a weekly email in advance of each week, listing the main activities planned for each day of the coming week, as well as any clothing or supplies campers will need to bring.
  • WhatsApp groups: Camp will send updates and reminders via WhatsApp. More details regarding how to join the groups will follow.
  • Pictures: Pictures will be shared on Facebook, Instagram, and on Rabbi Tzemach’s WhatsApp status.

 

Safety

Safety is a primary focus at Camp Ohr Menachem.

  • Staff: All our counselors are experienced camp counselors. Our staff attends extensive pre-camp training, including first aid, safety procedures and pedagogy.
  • Safety tags: Each counselor carries a tag with every child’s important information, including contact numbers, allergies, and special needs. In the event of an emergency, parents or emergency contacts will be notified immediately.
     

Welcome Package

  • Campers will receive a welcome package on the first day of camp, including a camp T-shirt, cap, and water bottle.
  • Please make sure your child brings their water bottle and cap every day.
  • Camp T-shirts: All children must wear their camp T-shirt on outings so campers can be easily identified. Additional T-shirts may be purchased at the camp office for $15.
     

Lunch Menu

A hot lunch will be served daily. More details regarding the lunch menu and schedule will follow.

 

Snacks

Please send your child with at least two snacks each day. One of the snacks should be a healthy snack.
All snacks must be nut-free and bear a reliable kosher symbol. Dairy items must be Chalav Israel.
Please note: Camp Ohr Menachem is a completely nut-free camp.
Please make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast before coming to camp.

 

What to Bring

Every camper should bring

  • a sun hat
  • water bottle 
  • snacks 
  • sunscreen
  • and of course, lots of camp spirit!

On swimming days, campers must bring a bathing suit, towel, and bathing cap.
Teen and CIT boys should bring their tallit and tefillin, as tefillah will take place during camp hours. Campers shouldn’t pray before camp.

 

Swimming

Swimming activities will take place under the supervision of certified lifeguards. In addition, our staff are briefed on all supervision and safety procedures.


 

Attendance

If your child will be absent or arriving late to camp, please WhatsApp your child’s on-site director that morning.


 

Camp Code of Conduct

At Camp Ohr Menachem, we strive to create a warm, happy, and inclusive environment where every camper feels valued and respected.
To help maintain this atmosphere, Camp Ohr Menachem has a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that compromises the well-being, safety, or dignity of our campers and staff.


 

Prohibited Behavior
The following behaviors are not permitted at camp:

  • Bullying, fighting, or any form of physical, emotional, or verbal aggression or harassment
  • Inappropriate touching or physical contact
  • Foul language 
  • Disrespect toward fellow campers, staff, or camp property
  • Any behavior that causes others to feel uncomfortable, unsafe, scared, or excluded


 

We expect all campers to:

  • Follow all camp rules and policies
  • Treat others with kindness, respect, and empathy
  • Be inclusive and welcoming to fellow campers
  • Report any incidents or concerns to camp staff immediately
  • Respect camp facilities, equipment, and property


 

Property Damage

Please note that any damage caused to camp property, facilities, or equipment will be the financial responsibility of the camper’s parents.


 

Electronics

Campers may not bring electronics to camp at any time.
This includes smartphones, iPods, iPads, tablets, computers, MP3 players, earbuds, cameras, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices.
If a camper brings an electronic device to camp, it will be collected by camp staff and returned to the parents at the end of the week.

 

Valuables

Children should not come to camp with money, they will not be permitted to make purchases on trips.
Valuable items should not be brought to camp. Camp Ohr Menachem cannot take responsibility for lost, misplaced, or stolen items.
