While the girls sang and danced, the Chabad Teen Minyan enjoyed their own bbq. A 3 piece band was ordered for the occasion. a chabad professional rapper animated the evening and of course Rabbi Levi was there farbrenging with us. Thank you Yossef benisty, Mrs. Heidy Benisty and the girls for preparing such a beautiful evening, for opening up your hearts and homes and giving the guys a kosher hangout in honor of lag Baomer. We sat in the Attar lawn and sang the most beautiful slow songs accompanied by one of our very own guitarists. the power of the holy Rabbi Shiomon Bar Yochai was felt by us all. A special thank you is due to the entire Attar family, for giving us such a meaningful Lag baomer experience. |

Chabad of CSL know how to throw a party. You had to be there _MG_0706.jpgto feel a simcha that Montreal has never seen before. Shimon Sibony had us rocking and rolling, dancing and jumping, singing and clapping. The mood was incredible. While the adults enjoyed a spectacular classy evening, the children had their own fun. PURIM IN CANDYLAND, chocolate fountains, candy sushi, snow cones, carnival games and arts n crafts was especially designed with the child in mind. |

The city of C.S.L. graciously offered their auditorium so that the children could be entertained. Children enjoyed a show by Mr. Music, Candy filled dreidels, donuts, latkes and Chanukah gelt.
grand menorah.jpgAfter an hour of dancing and singing indoors we marched outside in front of city hall to witness the lighting of C.S.L’s Giant Menorah with the participation of the Honorable Mayor Anthony Housefather and councilor elderly.
The Highlight of this event was the spectacular Chanukah Car Menorah Parade with 55 cars participating and led by police and a 35 foot limo navigatorlimo.jpg

Rabbi Levi and Itta Raskin the directors of the chabad youth center, organized a very successful program for teen girls and boys, bringing to them what talk to them most. Mordichai Finkelstein a Chassidc rapper that crawls into the minds and hearts of the typical teen had the crowd singing, dancing, shaking and begging for more. Mor-to-Life incorporates the deep messages of Torah and Chassidus with the distinctive art of Hip Hop and Rap music, creating a unique blend of eternal ideas and modern music.
All those that participated left feeling rejuvenated with commitments and resolutions that if Mordichai can change from a hip hop secular rapper, so can they change their ways. |

Chanukah Wonderland enjoyed by hundreds of children, proved to be a program brilliantly designed with the inquisitive and curious child in mind. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Rivka Sternberg, who worked tirelessly to organize this spectacular program.
00 213.jpgMany schools took advantage of this incredible educational and fun Chanukah activities. Parents and teachers were amazed at the variety of choices of activities that were available.
Children enjoyed sand art, metal art, wooden menorah making, dreidel designing, making latkes from scratch, decorating donuts, inflatable rides, face painting, and decorating Chanukah Cookies with edible markers.

Simchat Beit Hashoeva with the world renown singing super star Avraham Fried and the Yossi Bayles orchestra drew a crowd of over 3000 people. It was heartwarming to see Jews of all walks of life join together in unity proclaiming their Jewish pride publicly. Thank you to G-d Almighty for making the weather so beautiful and giving us the opportunity to enjoy this special night. |
